Today I had cake for lunch with Eric in a place called "Der Kuchenladen", where you find lots of handmade cakes, cupcakes and tarts. The interior is very cheesy but beautiful. It was just the perfect thing to do after my first exam this semester.

Last week I went to the reopening party of a club called Bambii Lounge and had a blast. 

The location is very surprising cause the dance-floor used to be a movie theatre.

Today I have to do a lot for university although it´s sunday. Went out for dinner and had tandoori chicken. Yummy! I wore my new secondhand granny-shirt for which you don´t need any jewelry, cause it has it´s own...

I´ve been working a lot this week and I love it. The new job is fun and I love the idea of earning money for my next trip to Stockholm this fall. And I wanna visit my friend Toni in Dublin, where she is studying the next 8 months (there is a Topshop in Dublin).

Today is Ascension Day, the official day for german men to start drinking during breakfast and hanging out with their buddies.
Eric and I visited a flea market but it has been overtaken by the rain and so we didn´t found anything on the only three tables. But we found an beautiful old house which serves as todays afterimage. I´m watching the finale of germany´s next topmodel and am hoping Sara wins.

Joseph Beuys

Sunday I visited the Beuys exhibition at the "Hamburger Bahnhof" and fell in love with the old posters. The look and the esprit of it. The fence locker would fit perfectly in my corridor and the pictures on my living room wall. Left the exhibition with a lot of new ideas...

opera

The opera has been wonderful. The orchestration was simple and concentrated, the costumes modern and beautiful and the music just perfect. The "Komische Oper" is a mixture of modern and antique architecture and the illumination creates a beautiful atmosphere.

La Traviata tonight

Tonight I´ll watch "La Travita" an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi. I am sooo excited, cause my last opera visit is just too long ago.

Got this rosé nail polish for 1.50 at rossmann. It let´s your skin look bronzy and fits with every other color. Found this ring at a flea market in Havana and it is made of a spoon-handle.

Yesterday I ordered my new glasses (almost similar to these but a little smaller). They´ll be ready to wear in about two weeks and I´m excited. Afterwards I went to have some sushi with Eric and enjoyed the last calm evening with him. The next week is going to be very stressful because I start a new job. Now I´m off to spend some time with my 6-year old friend Lana (baby-sitting).

saturday night I went to the publication of hate magazine´s new issue in a club called "villa". The location is a little shabby but stylish and decorated with lots of light installations and old furniture. Pictured bellow is a vodka fountain made of two trashy dolphins and a bucket.

ice cream and sparkling wine

Yesterday night Natti and I joined the presentation of the new Mango collection (which is kind of boring). The event included live music, an ice cream counter and a bar where we could get sparkling wine. On the first floor they had a mac lounge, where make-up artists primped the guests who had the patience to wait 30 minutes. We did not and therefore we had to leave the store, looking the same way we did when we entered it. With lots of Häagen-Dazs and Jule Mumm Rose in our bellies... It was a very nice evening which founds it´s perfect ending by visiting a friend in his new flat and watching the decision of yesterdays germany´s next topmodel episode.

summer?

Because of a problem with my eye I had to spend the free day (1. Mai) in an emergency room and therefore missed the Mai-Fest in Kreuzberg. It´s a street festival with a lot of food and live music. Yesterday I felt better and spend the day outside in the sun. I love Berlin in summer (although it´s spring)...

coffee anyone?

To save a little money and for having some mornings without complaining about the bad coffee they sell at the coffee shop next door, I use this thermos-can. Also when it means to abstain from ten minutes more sleep... Today I´ll relax in the sun and enjoy the beautiful weather with my boy.
