surprise, surprise!

Yesterday I surprised Eric by picking him up at the airport. He had a business meeting in Stuttgart... We went to a sushi restaurant and had dinner outside. The weather was beautiful and the conversations even better. I love days like these.

The man I got this blazer from... He wore it the first time in the year 1984, my year of birth. Coincidence or destiny?
Actually I got it in my favorite secondhand store for 3 euros. It has slots at the end of the sleeves to roll them up. I paired it with my new black skinny pants, I got on sale at h&m. After a relaxing day on my balcony I´m now off to a bar called "Mutter", to meet up with my girls.

mexican food

Just back from the new COS store in Berlin (Friedrichstraße). It´s bigger than the other two stores and the new collection is just amazing. The colors, the cuttings, the details - beautiful! Now I´m off to have dinner in an mexican restaurant with my fellow students and afterwards I´ll go to a birthday party... Have a nice weekend!!

curry 36

Yesterday was my best friend Niko´s birthday which we celebrated in a bar. Afterwards Eric and I went to curry 36, where we had currywurst and french fries. Currywurst is a fried sausage with curry and ketchup and if you wanna eat one in Berlin visit curry 36 on mehringdamm 36, cause that´s the best curry booth in town.

Yesterday Eric and I had a wonderful dinner with antipasti, salad and spaghetti. We relaxed a little and followed our new credo "more quality in our everyday life". The sun makes a contribution to it and shines, shines, shines.

Les Mads ask to show our oldest accessory or piece of clothing and I immediately thought of my grandmothers xxl clutch. She bought it in the year 1960, because Jackie Kennedy had one. The necklace is from my mum, she got it about 25 years ago. I love both pieces because they are beautiful and I share memories and memories of people with them.

Easter picnic

Happy Easter to everyone! Yesterday was my little sisters birthday, she is now 18 and therefore attained full age and is now officially an adult. Congratulations. On this Easter sunday Eric and I decided to make an excursion to Rheinsberg, a small town in Brandenburg (federal state around Berlin). We had a picnic in the sunny palace garden with an amazing view over the lake and the castle of Rheinsberg. What a nice day...

the birthday week

April is the month of the year a bunch of very good friends and my sister have birthday. Saturday night we celebrated two of them, yesterday I went to the birthday-party of a fellow student and tomorrow I´ll celebrate the birthday of my friend Mella by having a barbecue. Friday night - guess what - I´m going to a birthday-party as well. It´s my little sister´s 18th! What an exciting week and what an exhausting one, but after saturday there will be Easter and therefore a few days to relax. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO EVERYBODY!

Varadero

First day of university is done and I got a lot of work to do this semester. But it was nice to meet all my fellow students again. Weather was great today, sunny and warm. A little too good for sitting inside all day... Here a few pictures from Varadero, a small town in Cuba with the best beach and a beautiful old church.

the birthday parties

Yesterday we celebrated Vanessa´s, Sarah´s and Malte´s birthday. The girls celebrated at a bar called Sanatorium 23. I celebrated my last tests with my fellow students in this bar. The third one celebrated his birthday in a club called "hotel", where danced to old school hip-hop music. What a fun night! Tomorrow I have to go back to university, let´s see what this semester will bring.

dvd´s and chinese food

Yesterday Eric and I watched dvd´s, ate chinese food and ice cream. A nice and relaxing evening with mojitos- just great! Now I´m off to a birthday party. Have a nice weekend everyone.

and I´m feeling blue...

I just signed in for my new semester courses and I have to say this semesters schedule sucks. But at least it´s the summer semester and I can spend the waiting time between my courses outside in the sun. Yesterday I visited Eric during his lunch break and we enjoyed some tasty noodles outside-with almost a million other people. Afterwards I went to my local second hand store to give away my old stuff and received 60 euros. A part of this money stayed there for a high waisted dark red skirt and a cardigan for my little sister. Now I´m leaving to meet up with a friend and to enjoy the beautiful sun and a great chai tea latte.
